Shobdle was developed to honor International Mother Language Day.
How do you play Shobdle?
Anyone can set his/her Shobdle (Word of his/her Day) at Shobdle’s Page – Click Here! This word will be live for the day and you can share your Shobdle game link with your friends and family for them to find out your word.
Clicking on anyone’s shobdle game link, you will be prompted to shobdle starting page where you will have to start the game by simply entering your name. (Your friend needs to know that you found his/her shobdle, right?)
Shobdle gives you 7 chances to guess the Bengali word, the word of the day. The word has to be a word that fits in 4 blocks. There are 5 different colors to let you know how close your guess is. After each try, the blocks change color to either green (correct letter/consonant cluster/diacritics combo, correct block), yellow (correct letter/consonant cluster/diacritics combo, incorrect block), blue (some part of the letter/consonant cluster/diacritics combo is incorrect, correct block), pink (some part of the letter/consonant cluster/diacritics combo is incorrect, incorrect block), or black (not in the word). Once successfully completed, you can share the result as an image in your social media to let your friend know that you cracked his/her shobdle. Your name will be in the leaderboard in that result page with your ranking. Each day this ranking will be updated with that day’s play history.
Players select the letters of the Bengali alphabet from the virtual keyboard and when they are done with all 4 tiles press Enter. The game checks if the word matches with the word of the day or not. If you can match the word within those 7 chances then you win.
This game can be played by people of all ages. Even a child can play this game. There is no age restriction. So, if a person can read and write Bengali, she/he can play this game, though you should keep it in mind that guessing Bengali words can be quite challenging.

উত্তর দেখার সুযোগ আছে। তবে তা ৭ বার চেষ্টা করেও না পারলে দেখানো হয়।
কোডে কিছু ভুল আছে মনে হচ্ছে। গোরস্থান লিখেছিলাম। উত্তর বঙ্গবন্ধু। তৃতীয় খোপে কিছু মেলার কথা নয়। কিন্তু গোলাপী হলো। বিভ্রান্ত হয়ে হেরে গেলাম।
